Death and the Girl

I'm not sure which version of this I like best so I give you both. I hope you can find it in your hear to forgive me.
I was trying for that cut paper effect again, with this and it made me pretty happy. Here's hopin' it makes you happy, too.

Proof that I'm still workin' at it.

I spent a few hours doing this. I'm working on a 100 drawing-a-day project. One word, not a hundred, is randomly picked from a list I have, per day and I draw that thing. Today's word was "Luigi."

This is what came out. I would say I wonder what is wrong with me but I think it's obvious.

This image is conveniently desktop wallpaper sized. I may make a widescreen version.

A Recent Job

This is a cover I designed for my Dad's new novel. He's quite a storyteller. I don't have much to say about this, beyond what I said with the art.

Close Encounter with a Jackelope

So, I've been looking for inspiration a lot lately and not finding a lot of it. It's been getting in my hair. So, today, staring blankly out the window and drooling a bit, as I am wont to do, I see this dark shape go flying past my window.

I finally catch it zipping around and it's a jackelope. I'm an open minded guy but I can't accept that it's zipping past my window on the second floor. Upon closer inspection, it was a winged jackelope, which really explained it all. He was chasing around a couple of hummingbirds that hang out near my neighbor's feeder.

I was exceedingly excited to see it. Jackelopes are only slightly less rare than the flying variety. Then he stole one of my hubcaps and pooped on my car.

I hate jackelopes.
